We've heard of bands that strip their genitals completely during performances. Perhaps there is nothing surprising in the fact that 99% of these people are men. Guys like to shock the audience, but doing it in the name of rock and roll is almost a habit now.
For the fair sex, everything is different: historically, female sexuality is taboo, unlike male. In the stories of antiquity there are references to witches, covens and depraved behavior among the population. But for the 20th century, a commune consisting of only girls conducting pagan rituals and promoting non-traditional relationships is a phenomenon worthy of special attention.
Rockbitch is a British band that performed music from the 1980s to the 2000s, with a characteristic sound at the junction of theatrical rock and funk. Its members lived together in a house in France and maintained a polyamorous relationship (an alternative to the traditional institution of marriage).
They were activists and voted to solve the problems of their time, including changing the perception of sex in society – openly expressed admiration for sex politics icons like Annie Sprinkle and Betty Dodson. In the 1970s, they championed the claim that “the personal is political,” while continuing to argue that no feminist movement is possible without redefining sexuality with women in mind.
The performances included manifestations of paganism and the so-called “The Golden Condom”. The condom was thrown from the stage into the crowd, and the visitor who managed to catch it got the opportunity to go backstage. There, this person—regardless of their gender—engaged in a sexual relationship with one or more of the performing members.
